The clean environment of this farming region and the
health association makes it possible to market an
insecticide/fungicide - free product.

Environmental credentials of the Southern Forests
Region fit very nicely with the expectations of a
mature Japanese market. For example only 17% of
this Shire is cleared of native vegetation.

a higher than average rainfall area and the
prevailing winds do not cross polluted
areas.

We enjoy the same time zone as Japan
·
An established first world infrastructure transport
service
·
Large areas can be grown with mechanisation
·
Desirable new varieties can be grown
·
Green tea can be grown under fertigation to
increase yields
·
Harvesting in the opposite season to Japan providing
for “fresh” sales
·
A history of favourable trading with Japan and other
nations
·
Political stability and stable regulatory
environment
·
Established Quality Assurance systems in
horticultural enterprises

A base of farmers already operating horticultural
establishments
